Design of Principles | Final Compilation
1. Introduction to Module
The Final Blog Compilation Goals are as follows:
1. Completion of Exercises and Projects: Ensure that all exercises and projects meet the specified requirements outlined in the course. Review each task to confirm comprehensive fulfilment.
2. Inclusion of Final Designs: In the FINAL COMPILATION blog post, include only the ultimate versions of each exercise and project. Provide direct links to the main posts of each work for easy access and reference.
3. Linking Final Designs: Establish clear and accessible connections between the final designs presented in the compilation and their respective main posts. Facilitate a seamless navigation experience for the audience.
4. Final Reflection: Conclude the Final Compilation with a comprehensive final reflection. Summarize critical learnings, insights gained, challenges faced, and growth experienced throughout the exercises and projects. Offer a thoughtful analysis of the overall design journey.
By focusing on these goals, the Final Blog Compilation will serve as a cohesive and informative showcase of the completed exercises and projects, providing a comprehensive overview of the design process and a reflective conclusion.

4: FINAL REFLECTION
Final reflection guiding questions.
As I reflect on this module, guiding questions provide a framework to distil my experiences. These questions prompt exploration into what I've learned, enjoyed, and found challenging, offering insights into personal growth. Let's delve into this reflective journey, unravelling the threads of change and constancy in my learning adventure.
What have I learned in this module?
The Design Principles course taught me a profound understanding of key design elements, including Gestalt theory, contrast, balance, and movement. Exploring these principles has equipped me with the skills to create visually compelling and meaningful designs.
What did I enjoy the most?
The exploration of movement, particularly in capturing the dynamic motions of dancers, was a highlight. It taught me the importance of flexibility in the creative process and the effective use of design elements to convey a sense of movement in compositions.
What did I not enjoy the most?
While the initial concept of merging Western horoscope signs, Chinese zodiac animals, and Disney characters lacked cohesion, the iterative process and feedback guided me to a more focused and impactful design. The challenge lies in the initial stages, where refining concepts can be demanding.
What have I learned about myself through this module?
This module revealed my adaptability and openness to feedback. The evolution of my ideas, from representing the neurodivergent mind to exploring relationships and eventually creating a self-portrait, showcases my ability to adapt creatively and refine concepts for effective communication.
What has changed and what has not in my learning journey?
The module has enhanced my understanding of design principles and their application in visual communication. My willingness to adapt and refine concepts based on feedback has evolved, but my passion for creating meaningful visual narratives remains unchanged.
What could be improved in this module?
The initial lack of colour feedback prompted me to incorporate the design principle of movement, introducing brain waves into my work. While this adjustment enhanced the project, more precise communication about colour use expectations could improve students' learning experience.
SUMMARY
In summary, this module has been a creative exploration, learning, and adaptation journey. It reinforced the importance of feedback, showcased the power of design principles, and deepened my appreciation for the intricacies of visual communication. Looking forward, I aspire to apply these lessons in future projects, continuously refining my skills in the dynamic design field.
